Born and raised in Mexico, Osvaldo grew up inspired to become a pediatrician. However, when he eventually entered medical school, he was immediately repulsed by modern medicine’s invasive techniques as well as its strong side effects. His intuition told him there must be a better, more gentle type of medicine that would heal just as, if not more effectively, but he didn’t know where to look. The only place he felt modern medicine’s extreme measures were justified was in the emergency room, so he began to specialize in emergency medicine. As luck would have it, part of his emergency medical training consisted of a course in homeopathy, and that is where Osvaldo found his true calling.  

His studies in homeopathy revealed that emotions are the root cause of every disease. This rang true for Osvaldo.  An inspiring professor explained the deep connection between human emotions, psychology, and physical disease, and that prompted Osvaldo to develop a motto to which he still subscribes: “treat the person, not just the illness”       
While Osvaldo continued his studies in emergency medicine, he also took courses in Classical Homeopathy where he was able to see the entire depth and breadth of the field of homeopathy from many perspectives, and to truly understand its healing philosophy, which dictates:

Healing should be soft and gentle on the body, yet quick to bring relief.
It should focus on the entire body, and not just divide it into different
organs, as conventional medicine so often does.

Being the natural seeker of knowledge, Osvaldo was driven to understand homeopathy at an even deeper level, so he went on to study classical philosophy, including the writings of Aristotle, Plato, and others. This furthered his comprehension of the mind/body connection in context with man’s role in the universe and the interconnectedness of all things—an essential aspect of homeopathic philosophy.

Whilst working in a psychiatric hospital, Osvaldo became disturbed by the fact that doctors often overlooked the root causes of patients’ problems, but would instead administer superficial treatments—such as antidepressants and electro-shock therapy—for patients’ symptoms, to which he terms the ‘Band-Aid’ approach. He resolved to bring the curative powers of homeopathy to those suffering from psychological and mental imbalances by finding the connection between the patients’ illness and their emotions.  Soon, he noticed that the patients being treated with homeopathy were noticeably calmer and their conditions improved far greater.

One patient told him that he was the first doctor who had actually asked her how she felt inside—emotionally and mentally; and that with the homeopathic way of treating, she felt she was more than just a list of symptoms.  This had a profound effect on Osvaldo’s medical career and ensured that he would dedicate his medical career to treating the ‘whole’ person with homeopathy.

With a B.SSc degree in Medicine and Classical Hahnemann Homeopathy from the National College of Medicine and Homeopathy (Mexico), and specialising in Classical Homeopathy with the Homeopathic Mexican Foundation, Osvaldo has been practicing homeopathy since 1998, and has worked in many hospitals as a general practitioner and homeopath, as well as practicing at the National Homeopathic Hospital (Mexico), the largest Latin American hospital of its kind. He is certified by the Australian Register of Homeopaths (AROH) and has presented at numerous international seminars alongside renowned homeopaths as part of his ongoing professional development.

Today, Osvaldo has a successful practice in Sydney, where he sees men, women, and children of all ages. He has experience treating a wide variety of ailments including cancer, mental disorders, emotional disturbances (anxiety, depression), nutritional problems (obesity, overweight and malnutrition), digestive problems, menstrual and menopausal symptoms, and children’s behavioral issues.
